I had the pleasure of shooting Beth and Michael’s wedding in Chesapeake Virginia June 7, 2008… or, as the title imples on 6/7/8. The wedding was held at Providence Babtist Church, Chesapeake, VA with the reception following at Grand Affairs at the Chesapeake Golf Club. Entertainment was provided by James Miller of Astro DJs, jimmydark@cox.net. Best of luck Beth and Michael… thank you for allowing me to share your day.
Amy & Ryan Wedding – May 30, 2008
Amy & Ryan traveled from Indiana for a beach wedding at Pine Knoll Shores. The event was held at a beach house managed by Bluewater GMC Realty and well attended by friends and family. The bride, groom and many of the wedding party and guests were alumin of Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana… the same school I studied at for three years. It is indeed a small, small world. Best wishes Amy & Ryan.
I had the pleasure of taking head shots for several of Realty World – First Coast Realty agents. The shoot took place at the Atlantic Beach office and was well attended by serveral of their realtors. Special thanks goes out to Daryl Boyette for making it all happen. If you’re looking for a vacation rental property for your Crystal Coast wedding or planning on purchasing a home, be sure to check out the great staff at First Coast Realty.

Angela and Kerry are planning an August 30 wedding. They’re a great couple with a great attitude, sense of humor and adventure. We hooked-up in New Bern North Carolina’s historic downtown area for a little engagement shoot. I haven’t gotten all the images sorted yet… but here’s a few favorites so far.

I had the pleasure of attending an “Unportrait party” in Raleigh last weekend. The shoot was put together by Raleigh area photographers Brian Mullens and Kittie Deemer. Other photographers attending included Ken Luallen and Patricia Suzanne. Our two models, Lauren and Heather, did a wonderful job. There’s nothing more fun than having the opportunity to make artistic images with pretty girls wearing bridal gowns in unusual places.
Hope you enjoy!

Brooke & Justin plan are planning an August 01, 2008 wedding. The wedding will be at Atlantic Beach. During the engagement session the wind was blowing hard and cool. Conditions were a bit challenging but Brooke was a trooper. I’m looking forward to capturing some beautiful memories on their wedding day.

Amanda & Chris were wed at the Crystal Coast Civic Center, May 10, 2008. It was a lovely event where their love was clearly evident for all to see. DJ Austin Hardison (252-568-4883) provided music for the ceremony and reception. A great time was had by all.
Prom Night!
I had the honor of capturing a few shots of Danielle & Mark prior to there diner reservations. What great fun. I hope you enjoy.

Wedfog.com is dedicated to providing answers and clearing the “fog” about selection of a photographer for your wedding. In addition to FAQ’s and a very good photographer data base, they publish articles of interest to brides. An article I prepared about planning a wedding along North Carolina’s Crystal Coast was published on the site today. If you’d like to read it you can find it here.
I had the pleasure of attending the Tricoast Photography Finding Color workshop hosted by Black Angel Studio, Chapin, South Carolina. Mike Fulton, Suzy Roberts & Jordan Chan made presentations on the use of Canon’s eTTL and Nikon’s iTTL off camera flash systems. We were also experiemented with the new Radio Popper remote flash triggering system. The Radio Poppers makes it possible to take advantage of the advantages of eTTL/iTTL flash metering systems without the disadvantages of the near-ir linking system used by Canon and Nikon flash systems. There was ample opportunity to master fine tuning exposure settings using these systems by making photographs in a variety of conditions. The final day the Tricoast crew opened up about their approach to shooting, marketing and post processing. It was a really enjoyable experience.
Tricoast Photography has shot weddings around the world. They are noted for their unique fashion-editorial style images and thier use of vibrant colors in their photographs. The following are a few of the imgages I captured during the workshop.
