I shot an engagement session with Matt and Elizabeth over Labor Day weekend. A great couple that was fun to work with, my sincerest congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding.

Melissa and Jason plan to wed on the Beaufort Waterfront, October 09, 2010. Since they’re planning to hold their wedding on the waterfront, what better location for an engagement session? We had a great time with this portrait session. Below are a few of my favorites from the session.
Jordan & Devin will be getting married later this year. We wanted to do a photo session in advance to help them get comfortable in front of the camera. They felt like the beach would be a fun location and I most definately agreed. A special thanks to Renee at Visions Events & Beyond for allowing us access to their terrace even though the wedding is being held at another venue.
I had a great time with Eric and Kimberly on the Beaufort Waterfront. A fun and loving couple I know their wedding is going to be a hoot!
Tina won a free engagement portrait session at the New Bern bridal show. We got together Sunday at Fort Macon State Park for the shoot.
Cathy & Caleb – ENGAGED!
Cathy’s name was drawn as a second place winner at a recent bridal show. Her prize was her choice of an engagement, bridal or portrait session with a complimentary print. She chose to have an engagement session with her fiance’, Caleb. They selected the beach at Fort Macon State park for their location. We also did some shooting at the beach near the New Bern Street public access area. It was a pleasure working with Cathy and Caleb. Congratulations guys.
Amy & Michael Engagement
Amy & Michael will be traveling from Arkansas for a beach wedding this May. They were in town visiting relatives for Christmas and took advantage of the opportunity for a fun engagement photo session. We shot in the studio, around Newport and at Fort Macon State Park. I’m looking forward to capturing images on their wedding day.
Krista & Beau Engagement Session
Krista & Beau were in town to finalize their plans for their October 18 wedding. The trip included meeting with their wedding consultant, Rachel Munro, of Bridal by the Sea, their DJ, John Drake and their caterer, Floyd’s 1921 Resturant. Before making the drive home to Virginia we made a point of doing an engagement photo session for them. It always helps when I can get a couple in front of the camera before their wedding day. That way we all get used to each other and they’re usually a bit more comfortable in front of the camera. The wedding day is hectic enough without having to get used to the photographer.
A Look Inside
A few shots of the new studio:
New Space!
We’re moving into a new studio location. Look for us at 226 Chatham Street in Newport, NC. It’s going to take a bit of scrubing, sprucing and decorating before we’re up to full speed, but there’s no reason we can’t work in a few sessions along the way. The operation will be by appointment only. You can phone 252-726-5799 to schedule a session. I’ll get some photos up of the new studio in the near future.
