Karen and Jon had a lovely waterfront wedding on the Duncan House green, Beaufort, North Carolina. While the wind didn’t exactly cooperate with their plans for an outside wedding and reception, the sky was beautiful and the day full of joy. Exotic yet simple, it was certainly a fun wedding to participate in.
I thought I’d do something a little different and lay out the slideshow as an album. Folks are often curious about what a story book style album might look like. This would be a square format book, laid out as panographic spreads.
Congratulations Jon & Karen. I hope you enjoy the presentation.
Melanie Hooker and Joseph Jones of Owings Mills, Maryland were wed at the Daniel’s Chapel Babtist Church near Enfield, NC. The wedding took place Friday, November 09, 2007 with the reception following in Rocky Mount NC. Congratulations Joseph and Melanine.
Heather and Dan were joined together Saturday, November 03, 2007 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Jacksonville, NC. Their reception followed at the Jacksonville Country Club. Entertainment was provided by Richard Lawton, Dj Plus Sax. This was a particularly fun wedding for me as Heather had been a bridesmaid in one of my previous weddings and that bride was a bridesmaid for Heather. They also shared an additional bridesmaid in common. It’s always nice to have familar faces around. Best of luck Heather and Dan!
I spent Sunday, November 4 in Raleigh at the “Digital Photography Edge” seminar conducted by retired cinematographer/camera director Bruce H. Dorn and his bride, retired illustrator and designer Maura Dutra. The pair use their film experience to put a very dramatic and artistic twist on their photography. During the program I leanded about Bruce’s event lighting techniques. He has some unique ideas and gadgets to aid in lighting wedding portriats, receptions, engagement photos and bridal sessions. Maura provided insight into their wedding album design process, image inhancement techniques and their photos to painting techniques. The seminar will certainly add some new ideas, concepts and techniques to my tool chest.
